Welcome
to the Ford Research Group at the University of California at Santa Barbara.
Our research is concerned with three topics: homogeneous catalysis, the
photochemistry and photophysics of transition metal complexes, and the
bioinorganic chemistry of nitric oxide complexes. While these sound rather
diverse, the common theme is our interest in reaction mechanisms and in
applications of quantitative techniques to investigate these mechanisms.
